Getting Started
What happens during the free Discovery Call?
The free 10-minute Discovery Call is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore whether ISDG may be the right fit for your needs.
You can briefly explain what you are looking for, ask questions about our services and discuss which consultation or programme might be appropriate.
If your situation appears to require medical assessment or treatment before starting with ISDG, we will explain this where possible.
Please note: The Discovery Call is purely informational. It is not a clinical consultation, and no individual health assessment or treatment is provided.
To make the most of your time, we recommend preparing your questions in advance.

Who is ISDG for?
ISDG is designed for people who want to approach their health differently.
You may have tried various approaches without achieving the results you hoped for. Perhaps you have received advice from several healthcare professionals but still feel that important pieces of the puzzle are missing.
You may be looking for a fresh clinical perspective, a more comprehensive understanding of your situation, or practical support to turn knowledge into sustainable changes.
ISDG also supports individuals who are generally healthy and wish to optimise their nutrition, physical performance or long-term wellbeing.
You do not need to have exhausted every other option before seeking support.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, a referral from your GP is not required to book a consultation with ISDG.
However, depending on your health concerns, relevant medical information or collaboration with your GP or other treating healthcare professionals may be helpful.
Can I book a single consultation without joining a programme?
Yes. You are welcome to book an individual assessment without committing to a longer programme.
If further support would be beneficial, we can discuss suitable follow-up consultations or programmes based on your needs and preferences.
There is no obligation to continue.
What if ISDG is not the right fit for my needs?
Finding the right support is important, which is why ISDG offers both a free Discovery Call and a free Planning Call before your care begins.
These conversations allow us to discuss your expectations, clarify what ISDG can offer and assess whether our services are appropriate for your needs.
If ISDG is not the right fit, you are always free to explore other healthcare professionals or services.
Our aim is to help you make an informed decision before committing to our services.
Can I book a consultation for someone else?
If you would like to arrange a consultation for a family member or someone you care for, we recommend starting with a free Discovery Call.
This allows us to discuss the circumstances, clarify expectations and assess whether ISDG may be an appropriate choice.
The person receiving the consultation must be willing to participate. Wherever possible, we encourage them to take part in the Discovery Call so that their wishes and preferences can be heard directly.
Consultations & Practical Arrangements
Do you offer online consultations?
Yes. Online consultations are available through Signal.
Depending on your needs and the service provided, consultations may also take place at the ISDG practice, in your home or at another mutually agreed location.
How long does a consultation last?
An Initial Assessment typically lasts approximately 90–120 minutes, while a Follow-up Consultation generally takes around 45–60 minutes.
These are indicative durations. The actual time may vary depending on the complexity of your situation and your individual needs.
What should I prepare before my first consultation?
During your Planning Call, we will explain which documents and information you should prepare for your Initial Assessment.
Depending on your individual circumstances, the following information is generally required:
- Relevant medical reports and previous examination results.
- Recent blood test results, preferably from within the past month. If you have a chronic medical condition, we may also request earlier results to assess changes and trends over time.
- An up-to-date list of medications, including relevant supplements.
- Previous dietary assessments or nutritional reports, where available.
Additional information may be requested depending on your health history and the nature of your concerns.
We will discuss any specific requirements during your Planning Call.
Can I bring someone with me?
We understand that having someone you trust by your side can be reassuring and helpful.
The consultation must remain focused on the client, allowing them the space to speak openly and make their own decisions.
If you would like to bring a partner, family member, caregiver or another support person, please discuss this with ISDG in advance so we can determine whether their presence would be appropriate.
Can I bring my child to a consultation?
We understand that arranging childcare is not always possible.
If you need to bring your baby or young child, please contact ISDG in advance so we can discuss the most suitable consultation format.
In some circumstances, a home consultation may be a more practical and comfortable option.
In which languages are consultations available?
Consultations are available in Dutch, English and Japanese.
Please indicate your preferred language when booking.
What if I need to change my consultation format?
We understand that circumstances can change.
If you wish to change your consultation format, please notify ISDG in writing via email, contact form or Signal more than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Changes are subject to the nature of the service, practical feasibility and availability.
Some services, such as the Home & Environment Assessment, require an on-site visit and cannot be conducted online.
If a change from an off-site consultation to an online consultation or a consultation at the ISDG practice is approved more than 48 hours before the appointment, any travel charges already paid will be refunded in full.
Changes requiring additional travel charges can only be confirmed once the additional payment has been received.
What happens if I arrive late for my appointment?
If you expect to arrive late, please notify ISDG as soon as possible in writing via email, contact form or Signal, provided it is safe and practical to do so.
Your consultation will still end at the originally scheduled time, and any time lost due to late arrival cannot be extended or refunded.
ISDG will remain available at the agreed consultation location until the scheduled end of your appointment.
What if I have accessibility needs?
We encourage you to discuss any accessibility requirements during your free Discovery Call.
This allows us to understand your individual circumstances and explore suitable consultation arrangements.
Depending on your needs, consultations may be available at your home, online or at another mutually agreed location.
Communication & Contact
How can I contact ISDG?
For general enquiries, appointment requests, cancellations, rescheduling and administrative matters, please use our contact form or email.
If you are contacting ISDG for the first time, a free 10-minute Discovery Call via Google Meet is available to discuss your needs and determine whether ISDG may be the right fit.
To provide each client with our full attention and the highest possible standard of care, we do not answer phone calls while working with or for clients.
Clients with an active, paid service agreement may also communicate through Signal within the scope of their agreement.
For businesses and organisations, email is the preferred channel for enquiries, quotations, contractual matters and invoicing.
Why does ISDG communicate primarily in writing?
At ISDG, clear, accurate and transparent communication is an essential part of the care and service we provide.
To protect the interests of both our clients and ISDG, we ask that enquiries, appointments, cancellations and administrative matters be communicated in writing.
Written communication allows both parties to refer to the same information, reduces the risk of misunderstandings and ensures that important details are not lost or overlooked.
Our full attention is dedicated to each client, whether we are working directly with them or working on their behalf. This ensures that the time devoted to each individual is used entirely for their benefit, without unnecessary interruptions. We therefore do not answer phone calls while working with or for clients.
By communicating in writing, we can respond thoughtfully and accurately while respecting the time and commitments of everyone involved.
Can I contact ISDG between consultations?
Communication arrangements depend on the service you have chosen.
For clients enrolled in an ISDG programme, scheduled In-Between Calls are conducted through Signal. Their frequency depends on the specific programme.
For services that include an Initial Assessment and Follow-up Consultation within the same package, Signal may be used between appointments to exchange additional information, clarify previously discussed details or complete the ongoing assessment process.
If you need further clinical guidance regarding the same health concern after your service has been completed, you are welcome to book a Follow-up Consultation.
If you wish to discuss a new or unrelated health concern, a new Initial Assessment may be required.
Signal is available only to clients with an active, paid service agreement and is not intended for emergency communication.
Pricing, Payments & Reimbursement
What payment methods do you accept?
At ISDG, transparency is an essential part of our service.
During your free Planning Call, we discuss the practical arrangements and applicable fees. You will normally receive a written quotation outlining the agreed services and costs, allowing you to review everything before making a commitment.
All payments must be made in advance by bank transfer. Payment details, including a payment QR code for bank transfer, are provided with your quotation where applicable.
Appointments are confirmed once payment has been received. Programme places require both a signed agreement and full payment.
We do not accept cash or Payconiq payments during consultations.
Your consultation time is dedicated entirely to you. By arranging payments in advance, we can focus on your needs and make the most of every minute together.
Are travel costs included in the consultation fee?
Travel costs are not included in the standard consultation fee for off-site appointments.
Travel charges are calculated based on the estimated journey time using Google Maps and apply from the beginning of the journey.
If you prefer a consultation at your home or another location outside the ISDG practice, we will discuss the applicable travel charges during your Planning Call.
Are ISDG services reimbursed by Belgian health insurance?
ISDG combines expertise from different healthcare and nutrition disciplines to provide highly personalised assessments, practical support and programmes.
Because these services do not necessarily correspond to standard Belgian reimbursement categories, reimbursement should not be assumed.
If you are covered by a Belgian mutuality or private health insurance, we recommend checking your eligibility directly with your insurer before booking.
Where reimbursable dietetic care is appropriate and sufficient for your needs, we encourage you to consider that option first.
Can I receive an invoice or proof of payment?
Yes. ISDG provides invoices and the necessary payment documentation.
If you require specific documentation for your insurer or administrative purposes, please let us know in advance so we can clarify what can be provided.
In which language will my invoice be issued?
Official ISDG invoices are issued only in Dutch, in accordance with the language requirements applicable to businesses established in the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium.
Programmes & Ongoing Support
Who are ISDG programmes designed for?
Our programmes are designed for people who need more than a single consultation or a set of general recommendations.
They may be particularly suitable if you have experienced repeated setbacks, struggled to maintain changes, or found that conventional approaches have not adequately addressed your circumstances.
Rather than focusing solely on what you should do, we explore the clinical, environmental and practical factors that may influence your ability to make sustainable progress.
Programmes provide structured, concierge-style support over an extended period.
Do I have to join a programme to receive support?
No. Programmes are optional.
You can begin with an individual assessment and decide whether ongoing support would be useful.
If a programme is not necessary or appropriate for your situation, we will not recommend one simply for the sake of continued participation.
Can I stop a programme before it ends?
If you wish to discontinue a programme before its scheduled end date, please contact ISDG to discuss your circumstances and agree on an appropriate end date.
Medical Care, Safety & Policies
Can ISDG help me if I already have a diagnosis or am receiving medical treatment?
Yes. ISDG can provide personalised support alongside your existing medical care.
Whether you are managing a chronic condition, recovering from illness or surgery, or receiving ongoing treatment, our approach focuses on understanding your individual circumstances and identifying where additional clinical, nutritional or practical support may be helpful.
When appropriate, we can collaborate with your GP, medical specialists or other healthcare professionals to support continuity and coordination of care.
ISDG does not replace your treating physician or other necessary medical services. Our role is to complement existing care while respecting the responsibilities of the healthcare professionals involved.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. ISDG does not prescribe medication.
If medication, a medical diagnosis or treatment is required, we will recommend consulting your GP or an appropriate medical specialist.
ISDG’s services are intended to complement necessary medical care, but not to replace it.
What if I need urgent medical assistance?
ISDG does not provide emergency medical services or continuous medical monitoring.
If you experience a medical emergency, call 112 immediately.
Is my personal and medical information kept confidential?
Yes. ISDG follows workflows designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian data protection requirements.
Your personal and health information is handled confidentially, with appropriate safeguards to protect your privacy.
Personal health information is only collected, used and shared where there is an appropriate legal basis and a legitimate purpose related to your care or the provision of our services.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, as well as missed appointments, are subject to a charge of 100% of the applicable fee.
All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing, by email, contact form or Signal message.
What if I cannot attend because I am ill?
Our standard Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy applies to all appointments, including cancellations due to illness.
What if ISDG needs to cancel my appointment?
If ISDG needs to cancel your appointment, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid for that appointment, including any travel charges.
Alternatively, if you prefer to reschedule, we will arrange a new appointment together. Your existing payment will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment.
Can I use ISDG services if I live outside Belgium?
Yes. ISDG offers online consultations for clients living abroad, subject to applicable professional regulations.
In-person consultations outside Belgium may also be arranged on an individual basis, depending on local regulations, practical feasibility and additional travel costs.
Please contact ISDG to discuss your location and the services you require.
