Our Approach
Health is rarely shaped by one factor alone.
That is why ISDG looks beyond symptoms and nutrition in isolation — bringing together clinical knowledge, preventive perspectives, everyday life and the environment in which health decisions actually happen.
Clinical Care Meets
Preventive Perspectives
ISDG combines evidence-based Western clinical healthcare with Eastern preventive perspectives, drawing on the strengths of both.
Together, these perspectives aim to make maintaining and improving your health more manageable.
Treatment when it is needed.
Prevention whenever it is possible.
Environment First
When you visit someone in their own home, you sometimes see things that would never become visible in a hospital or consultation room.
That's why ISDG looks beyond the consultation room. We look not only at what you eat and drink, but also at how your surroundings may influence what you choose, how much you consume and when — including influences you may never have consciously noticed.
Unhelpful influences can be reduced or redesigned.
Helpful influences can be strengthened without relying on willpower alone.
Dedicated Care, Tailored to You
Two people can have the same health concern and still need very different approaches.
That’s why ISDG doesn’t start with a standard list of what to eat, what to avoid or what to change.
At ISDG, we don’t automatically require:
- more rigid discipline.
- more obsessive calorie counting.
- more exhausting exercise.
More restriction is not always the answer.
Instead, we develop a personalised, realistic strategy that works in real life while respecting your priorities.
Along the way, you gain the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to anticipate changes, make informed decisions and safely manage what is within your control.
From First Contact to Follow-Up
ISDG care begins before your first consultation.
We take the time to understand what you are looking for.
Then we work out together the best way forward, based on your needs and circumstances.
Discovery Call
Your journey starts with a brief discovery call.
This is an opportunity to discuss what brings you to ISDG, explore whether your needs align with the services offered, and see if ISDG is a good fit for you.
No individual medical or nutritional advice is provided during this call.
Time to Decide — No Pressure
After the introductory call, please take time to consider your next step.
There is no obligation to proceed.
The decision is entirely yours.
Planning Call
Once you decide to proceed, we arrange a second brief call.
During this call, we discuss your preferred service, explore what would best suit your needs, and plan how your care will work in practice.
We also review the service conditions (see “Practical Information”) to ensure everything is clear and agreed upon before your care begins.
You are unique — and your care should reflect that.
Your Care, Step by Step
From here, your personalised care begins.
Our approach follows four key stages:
After these four key stages, if you would like help putting your plan into practice, separate implementation support is available.
Connected Care, When Needed
ISDG works alongside other healthcare professionals.
When appropriate, we may recommend additional care or refer you to another qualified professional, based on your individual needs or preferences.
Our priority is to help you access the right support at the right time.
The ISDG Advantage
Private Care
When you need it — or when you choose it.
ISDG is designed for people who need more than a standard consultation or who deliberately choose a more comprehensive, flexible and private model of care.
Flexible Consultation Formats
We offer flexibility in how and where your consultations take place.
The format can be adapted throughout your care when appropriate.
Dedicated Availability
ISDG deliberately works with a limited number of clients at a time to allow for continuity, individual attention and in-depth follow-up. When capacity is reached, new clients may join a waiting list and will be contacted as soon as we are able to welcome them into our care.
Privacy & Discretion
ISDG provides private care by appointment only, with privacy and discretion at the centre of every interaction.
For this reason, joint sessions are only arranged where appropriate and agreed in advance.
Direct Communication
Care does not necessarily stop when the consultation ends.
For applicable services and programmes, we provide support between sessions via Signal when needed.
Why ISDG?
From Emergency Care to Prevention
For over two decades, I have worked in healthcare, including emergency and critical care, where life and death are part of everyday reality.
But beyond the urgency of saving lives, one question stayed with me:
What could we have done earlier?
Later, working in patients’ homes taught me another essential lesson: medical advice that ignores a patient’s everyday reality is destined to fail, however sound the science behind it.
Good healthcare cannot end at the consultation room door.
That conviction became one of the foundations of ISDG.
— Medicine · Nutrition · Action · Origin
The Philosophy Behind ISDG
ISDG draws inspiration from the Japanese expression Ishoku Dōgen (医食同源):
“Medicine and food share the same origin.”
I deliberately replaced the character 同 (dō, meaning “same”) with 動 (dō, meaning “movement” or “action”).
“True medicine originates from nutrition and action.”
The Value of Extraordinary Care
Life is never fair.
We all have to play with the cards we’ve been dealt.
But what if we could turn those cards into something more powerful — perhaps even a super joker?
That is why I founded ISDG: to help people unleash their true potential.
Not only from inside, but also from outside: the environment.
ISDG was created for people who expect extraordinary healthcare and are willing to invest in their health: more expertise, more personal attention, more flexibility, and a professional who takes their needs as seriously as they do.
Exceptional care demands exceptional dedication. That dedication has value.

Protect Your Health
Understanding gives you choices. Action creates change.
Knowledge helps you understand your health, recognise your options and make informed decisions. But knowledge alone changes little.
It is through action that new possibilities emerge.
My role is not to create dependence on professional advice, but to help you develop the confidence and practical skills to take greater control of your health — while recognising when professional care is needed.
